Scheduling Reasons

Learn how to view and set up scheduling reasons in Practice EHR.

 
  • View scheduling reasons that are in your system.
  • To add a scheduling reason click on the “Create Reason” button, add a description, select a color code, add a duration and hit the green button to save.

Follow Up Denial Codes

Learn how to view and set up denial remit codes in Practice EHR.

 
  • View all denial remit codes that will come from ERAs and EOBs.
  • See a list of all of the follow up denial codes and reasons.
  • To edit the code, click on the blue hyperlink, update the follow up reason and auto action, then click on the “Update Denial Code” button.
  • To create additional denial codes, click on the “Create Denial Code” button, enter required information and click the green button to save.

Medication

Learn about the medication report in Practice EHR.

 

The medication report shows all medications that have been prescribed and ordered.

  • You can filter the medication report by patient name, provider, date range, drug name or prescription status.
  • The medication report will include the Rx #, account #, patient name, drug name, Rx status, start date and end date.
  • You can also export your medication report as an excel file.

CDS

Learn about the CDS report in Practice EHR.

 

The CDS report incorporates multiple tools to enhance decision making in the clinical workflow.

  • Filter the CDS report by patient name or by CDS name, by using the date range, or by provider.
  • See the account #, the patients name, the CDS intervention and description as well as the start and due date.
  • The provider can then select the CDS intervention from the window and export the patient record into a report format by clicking on the “Export to Excel” button.

Plan Followup

The plan follow up bucket provides a list of claims without outstanding insurance balances and claims that may have been denied, under payed or processed incorrectly.

  • View outstanding insurance claims that are 30 days old.
  • Review detailed follow up claim history.
  • Create insurance follow up call notes.

In the patient follow up tab provides a list of claims with outstanding patient balances.

  • View outstanding patient balances that are 30 days old.

Provider Schedule

Learn how to set up your schedule in Practice EHR.

 

The provider schedule tab allows you to set up your schedule based on the provider’s availability. If you have multiple providers, follow these steps for each provider:

  • Select the “Create New Schedule” button .
  • Select the location from the drop down menu.
  • Set the hours and click the “Create Schedule” button to save.
  • To set up non availability hours, such as a lunch break, follow steps 1-3, choose a reason for unavailability, select the “Not Available” check box and click the “Create Schedule” button to save.
  • In Practice EHR, you don’t have to create your schedule again and again. By clicking the green button at the bottom, you can carry forward your schedule in four week increments.

Lab

Learn how to access and manage labs for a patient in Practice EHR.

 

Under the lab section, you can order a lab, review pending labs and send and print labs for a patient.

  • A lab or test can be ordered by typing in the request in the “Test” field box.
  • You can also filter and pick the lab company you’ll be sending the patient to from the “Laboratory” menu.
  • If your lab company is integrated with your group practice, click the ”Send Electronically” button to send the lab requisition.
  • To print the requisition, you will click on the green “Paper Requisition” button.
  • The “Pending Requisitions” section displays labs that are currently waiting to be sent out to the lab company.
  • The “Waiting for Results” bucket displays where you will be able to view your pending labs.
  • The “Pending Dr. Review” bucket will display the lab results for the provider to review and verify as abnormal or normal.

Medication

Learn how to manage medications for a patient in Practice EHR.

 

The medication tab in Practice EHR is where you will order medications, manage prescriptions, select a patient’s pharmacy and see history of medications as well as a current list of medications for a patient.

  • All fields with a red dot must be filled in order to prescribe.
  • If the medication is listed in your common list you can quickly search for it and select it. You can also search for a drug that may not be in your list in the drug browser.
  • Use the search icon next to pharmacy to search for local pharmacies in your area to send the prescription to.
  • Prescribing options in Practice EHR include:
    • e-Rx – sends the prescription electronically
    • Print Rx – prints the prescription
    • Paper Rx- you are providing a hand written prescription to the patient
    • Prescribe – you are prescribing the medication and will later decide if you will send the prescription electronically, print it or provide a hand written prescription
  • Once a medication has been prescribed, it will drop down in to the patient’s current medications list.
  • Click on the settings icon in the top right corner to view medication history, view online Rx history, get patient eligibility, print patient education or provide additional drug information.

Create help desk tickets in the Practice EHR support center so we can resolve any concerns you may have related to the system.

  • To create a new help desk ticket click on “New Ticket”.
  • Write a description of the problem, attach images, select a priority level, click “Submit” and our team will respond as soon as possible.
  • Any pending tickets will show up under “My Tickets” with the ticket #, description, status, created date and last updated date.
